China-U.S. economic and trade relations are mutually beneficial in nature, a spokesperson with the Chinese Ministry of Commerce reiterated on Thursday.
China and the U.S. should address each other's legitimate concerns through dialogue and consultation on the basis of mutual respect and equality, the ministry's spokesperson Gao Feng said at a press conference.
Gao made the remarks after U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai said she expects to meet Chinese trade officials in the near term.
