First batch of Chinese humanitarian aid leaves for Ukraine

The first batch of Chinese humanitarian aid has left Beijing for Ukraine, China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian told a press conference on Wednesday.

The shipment was part of a 5 million yuan (around $791,000) humanitarian aid from the Red Cross Society of China to the Ukrainian Red Cross Society which consists of food and life essentials, Zhao added.
