Noting the situation across the Taiwan Straits is still developing, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi Wednesday called for remaining vigilant and alert to the "three new dangerous movements."

In his recent meeting with his counterparts from Mongolia, South Korea and Nepal, Wang reiterated China's stance on U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi's visit to the Taiwan region, calling the visit an outright political provocation.

In a statement released by the Chinese Foreign Ministry, the foreign minister warned that the U.S. is increasing its regional military deployment, promoting the situation to further escalate and trying to create a new and greater crisis.

Mentioning the "Taiwan independence" forces have misjudged the situation, Wang advised them not to go further down the road of secession.

He also pointed out that political figures from some countries distort facts, and put on a political show for their own political gains, adding their acts will seriously undermine the political basis for engagement with China and seriously impact the UN Charter and the post-World War II international system.

China on Wednesday published a white paper titled "The Taiwan Question and China's Reunification in the New Era." According to Wang, the white paper comprehensively elaborates the historical merits and policy propositions of the Taiwan question and aims to get the fundamentals right.

He stressed the Chinese side is ready to work with its peace-loving and justice-seeking friends from various countries to resolutely oppose all words and actions that interfere in China's internal affairs, resolutely resist all risky movements that undermine peace in the Taiwan Straits, and jointly guard the one-China principle.

The Chinese foreign minister also urged efforts to jointly defend the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, and jointly maintain regional stability and world peace.
