Premier Li Qiang arrived at Moscow's Vnukovo Airport on Tuesday, starting an official visit aimed at carrying forward the enduring friendship and deepening mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Russia.
Speaking upon his arrival, Li said he believes that the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for the new era will enjoy better prospects through joint efforts from both sides.
This year marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Russia.
Li said that over the past 75 years, the two countries' relations have withstood the test of changing international landscape and has grown more resilient with new vitality.
The premier said that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, the China-Russia relationship in the new era has been more vibrant, featuring more solid political mutual trust, fruitful results of cooperation in various fields, people-to-people friendship and close coordination on international affairs.
The two countries have set a good example for a new type of international relations as well as major-country relations between neighbors, he said.
In Moscow, Li will chair the 29th regular meeting between Chinese and Russian heads of government with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
Li and Mishustin will have in-depth exchanges of views on China-Russia relations, practical cooperation and issues of mutual interest, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said on Monday.
Li's visit is another high-level exchange this year, following two meetings between the two presidents in May and July.
At the Vnukovo Airport, the Chinese premier was greeted by a welcoming ceremony with the participation of senior officials from both countries.
