Huawei unveiled its new artificial intelligence (AI) Ascend 910 chip and new open-source AI computing framework MindSpore on Friday.
Huawei claims the new AI chip is the world's most advanced chip and is "two times faster than the previous top product."
The chip is the company's further expansion into the AI sector and a move to achieve its chip strategy amid the US' intensified crackdown on the Chinese telecommunications giant.
