Eyeing intensified cooperation in the commercial aerospace sector, the first Netstar Commercial Aerospace Industry Alliance was recently established in Weihai High-Tech Industrial Development Zone in Shandong province's Weihai.
Organized by the Weihai Torch Hi-Tech Science Park and the Weihai Netstar Aerospace Technology Research Institute, the founding conference of the alliance saw the adoption of a charter, the election of key leadership positions and an official unveiling ceremony.
The alliance said it aims to closely align with the demand of the commercial space industry, focusing on key sectors such as satellite manufacturing, data application, payload development, and network construction.
By fostering industry-academia collaboration, the alliance is also set to provide a platform for domestic and international aerospace enterprises to share resources and leverage complementary strengths.
The establishment of the commercial space alliance in Weihai's high-tech zone is expected to further Weihai's development as a hub for future industries, including commercial aerospace and low-altitude economy sectors, thereby boosting regional economic growth, said the Weihai High-Tech Zone government.
Before the conference, alliance members toured key high-tech enterprises in the area, including the Harbin Institute of Technology (Weihai) Innovation and Pioneer Park, Global Printer Base, Tianli Power Technology Co Ltd and other high-tech enterprises.
