Three suspects have been detained in central China's Henan Province for allegedly shooting and uploading child pornography, police said Thursday.
Police in the provincial capital Zhengzhou recently received multiple reports about a website containing a significant number of videos showing teenage girls being abused. Police detained one of the suspects, surnamed Wu, Wednesday night.
Initial investigations showed that Wu and the two other suspects, surnamed Wang and Cao, tricked underage girls into making the videos under the guise of producing educational content for children. The videos were then uploaded to a website they operated, police said.
Further investigation is under way.
