The Chinese embassy in Jordan on Saturday took part in one of the biggest annual charity bazaars in Amman, the revenues of which will be donated to help orphans.
The fair, known as "Diplomatic Bazaar," was attended by Princess Basma, Chinese Ambassador to Jordan Pan Weifang and other diplomats from over 50 foreign embassies and missions in Jordan.
Princess Basma thanked the embassies for their participation in the bazaar, praising their social responsibility and kindness in supporting the orphans.
The Chinese embassy brought to the fair with a number of Chinese products including textile, handcrafts and souvenirs.
The Chinese embassy's participation in the bazaar was also part of the celebrations to mark the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic ties between China and Jordan.
Khetam Ali, one of the visitors who visited the Chinese embassy's booth, said he enjoyed it very much.
"Every year I make sure to come to the bazaar. I like its idea because it is like we visit many countries at the same time in one place," said Ali.
Mohammad Nasser, who visited the bazaar with his wife, praised the idea of holding such a charity fair. "The objective of the bazaar to support the orphans is noble," he said.
