China's explorer Yang Jianxin, 48, completed a 32-day solo sailing around China Seas on Wednesday, arriving at Fuliwan dock in Lingshui, a county of south China's Hainan Province, with his sailboat named Tangshan Hao.
The 2,500-nautical-mile voyage started from Xiangyunwan dock in Tangshan, via the Bohai Sea, the Yellow Sea, Taiwan Strait, Qiongzhou Strait, to the Hainan island.
This was China's first successful challenge in sailing alone around China Seas without any supply or stop, which signified a new chapter for China's sailing adventure, according to an official from Tangshan Sports Bureau.
Starting to be fond of sailing three years ago, Yang founded a sailboat and windsurfer club in Tangshan, Hebei province, in 2015, committing himself to popularizing the sport.
