A total of 105 suspects in telecom and online fraud cases have been deported by Indonesia to China, the public security bureau of North China's Tianjin Municipality said in a statement on Thursday.
Two airplanes carrying the 105 suspects arrived at Tianjin's Binhai International Airport Wednesday night, the statement said.
The suspects have been linked to more than 200 criminal cases in provinces and cities across China including Tianjin, involving 10 million yuan ($1.5 million), the bureau said on its Sina Weibo.
The Tianjin police sent a team to Indonesia in May under orders from China's Ministry of Public Security to work with Indonesian police. Three telecom fraud dens in Bali Island were destroyed.
Southeast Asian countries, including Thailand, Myanmar and Cambodia are popular destinations for Chinese nationals to operate telecoms scams against Chinese people.
