An Air China flight from Paris to Beijing returned to Charles de Gaulle airport, Paris, France on Thursday after receiving a "suspected terrorist information" about half an hour after the taking-off, Chinese state media said.
Air China announced on its official social media site that flight CA876 had landed in Paris and all the passengers were safe.
Flightradar24, a global flight tracking service with real-time information, showed that the flight returned to Paris 20 minutes after it took off.
The airline said the flight would resume as soon as possible, without giving details.
According to AFP (HK), the threat has turned out to be a false alarm. There were misunderstandings between the airline company staff and a passenger who arrived late for the flight. The passenger said there had been a bomb at the terminal, while the staff thought there was a bomb on the plane.
A judiciary inquiry has been launched against the man, who is believed to be Australian.
