The T1 Terminal of Germany's Frankfurt Airport has returned normal Tuesday afternoon after being evacuated as at least one person had come unchecked into the security area.
The partial evacuation of Frankfurt airport is over and "operations are in progress again", German police said on Twitter.
"Terminal evacuation at # Frankfurt #Airport is completed. The affected areas are open and operations are progressing again," the police said.
The Germany's busiest airport had been evacuated Tuesday noon due to a police operation, the police said on Twitter.
The local Bild newspaper quoted the federal police spokesman Reza Ahmari as saying that at least one unauthorized person from a four-member family has come in an air security control in the security area and disappeared.
The four-member French family have been identified and are currently being questioned, said a spokeswoman for the Federal Police to the German Press Agency.
A total of 49 of Tuesday's almost 1,500 flights had been canceled as a result of the security measures.
