A 5.0-magnitude earthquake jolted Tonghai county, southwest China's Yunnan Province at 03:50 BJT on Tuesday (1950 GMT on Monday), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The earthquake was recorded at a depth of six kilometers. An evacuation is underway and no casualties have been reported so far.
It came just 26 hours after another 5.0-magnitude earthquake hit the same area Monday morning, injuring eighteen people.
