Eight people remained missing after a ship capsized Sunday in the sea near the city of Tangshan, north China's Hebei Province, local authorities said Monday.
The maritime search and rescue center in Hebei received a report about the distress at 6:47 a.m. Sunday, saying that 12 people aboard fell off the ship when it capsized, the center said.
Four people were rescued with eight still missing.
The center has sent helicopters, ships and divers to help with the search and rescue operation, which is still underway.
