This year's Beijing Forum on Human Rights, which focused on poverty elimination, closed in Beijing Wednesday.
The two-day event was attended by more than 200 officials, scholars and personages from about 50 countries, regions and international organizations.
Participants at the forum exchanged opinions on issues of poverty elimination and the right to survival and development, as well as China's experience in poverty reduction, international poverty reduction cooperation, efforts to build a community with a shared future for humanity and their significance for human rights protection.
First held in 2008, the Beijing Forum on Human Rights serves as an important platform for exchanges, dialogue and practical cooperation in human rights.
