A 5.9-magnitude earthquake hit close to the northernmost tip of Haiti, 19 kilometers northwest of Ti Port-de-Paix, at 0011 GMT on Sunday, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).
The epicenter of the earthquake was recorded at a depth of about 11.7 kilometers.
No casualties and tsunami warning have been reported so far.
