Eleven fishermen remained missing two days after a fishing boat capsized in big waves in the Taiwan Strait on Thursday, authorities said Saturday.
The fishing boat, "Mindongyu61648", from Fujian Province keeled over at about 10 a.m. Thursday in central Taiwan Strait and 13 crew members on board fell into the waters, according to the provincial maritime search and rescue center.
Two people were saved by a passing fishing boat at about 6 p.m. Friday and turned to the maritime search and rescue center for help.
Rescuers from Fujian, Guangdong, Taiwan and the East China Sea Rescue Bureau were sent to the scene for rescue and search.
