Xiamen Airlines on Tuesday opened a direct flight between Fuzhou, capital of east China's Fujian Province, and Paris.
Using the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, the outbound flight leaves Fuzhou at 12:30 a.m. Beijing time and arrives in Paris at 6:55 a.m. local time every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. A one-way trip takes 13 hours and 25 minutes.
The new route is the first direct flight linking Fujian and France, making Fuzhou the eighth city in China to have direct flights to Paris.
Paris has been one of the top destinations in Europe for Chinese tourists. Last year, a total of 1.1 million visits by Chinese tourists were made to Paris.
