At least seven people were killed on Monday after a Boeing 707 cargo plane, with 16 people on board, crashed in the northern Iranian city of Karaj, local media reported.
The plane, coming from Kyrgyzstan, crashed near Iran's Fath airport, west of the capital, Tehran.
The aircraft skidded off the runway after it mistakenly landed at the airport and crashed into a wall separating the airfield from a residential complex, Iranian state-owned news agency Islamic Republic News Agency reported citing an official with the Iran Civil Aviation Organization.
Relief and rescue operation is currently underway.
