A 5.2-magnitude earthquake jolted the city of Artux in Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region at 10:23 p.m. Sunday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 39.89 degrees north latitude and 77.46 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 14 km, the center said.
