The number of new cases of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) being officially reported outside China have overtaken those reported by Beijing for four consecutive days since the outbreak began, said the World Health Organization (WHO).
In the past 24 hours, 1,318 new cases came from areas outside of China, compared with 435 by the Chinese authorities, according to a report issued by WHO on Saturday.
As of 0900 GMT Saturday, a total of 85,403 cases were reported so far globally, with 6,009 outside China, said WHO.
