Together with the National Health Commission, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China held a video conference on Thursday to share the country's experience in fighting the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) with government officials and public health experts from 18 European countries, including the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Switzerland.
There has been at least three previous online conferences between Chinese experts and EU agencies, and China's experts also shared experience regarding the disease with central and eastern European countries last week.
Chinese experts talked about their experience on the epidemiological feature, prevention and control strategies, clinical diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19, and answered over 80 questions during the conference.
Officials and experts of participating countries highly appreciated the measures China has been taking in the prevention and control of the outbreak and hoped to continue international cooperation with China in epidemiological research, epidemic prevention and control, and vaccine development.
