Spanish actor Antonio Banderas announced on Monday that he has tested positive for the coronavirus.
Banderas, who is known for his role in films such as "The Mask of Zorro," "Philadelphia," "The 13th Warrior" and was the voice of "Puss in Boots" in the "Shrek" films, confirmed on Twitter on the same day he celebrated his 60th birthday.
"I am a bit more tired than usual and I hope to recover as soon as possible following the medical indications, which I hope will help me get over the infection process that I am suffering and which has affected so many other people," he explained.
According to latest data issued by the Spanish Ministry of Health, almost 315,000 people in the country have been infected by the virus, with 28,503 losing their lives.
