One new confirmed COVID-19 case was reported in the city of Suifenhe in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, authorities said Thursday.
The case is a 39-year-old man living in a residential compound in Suifenhe. The man, surnamed Xue, was loading and unloading imported commodities in a border trade area in the city from Nov. 30 to Dec. 4.
Xue tested positive for the novel coronavirus on Thursday and was confirmed as a COVID-19 case. He is receiving treatment in a designated hospital in Suifenhe.
Authorities are taking strict prevention measures against the epidemic in the city.
