China on Wednesday denied a CNN report that there's a leak at the Taishan nuclear power station in the southern Chinese province of Guangdong.
The country's Ministry of Ecology and Environment said in a statement that radiation monitoring results showed the radiation level around the nuclear plant remains normal.
The statement published on the ministry's social media platform also said the National Nuclear Safety Administration had not raised the acceptable limits for radiation detection levels outside the station.
On Tuesday, China's Foreign Ministry also guaranteed the safety of the Taishan Nuclear Power Plant, saying the current situation meets the requirements for technical specifications.
