China's railway system operation map will be upgraded starting from June 20, which will increase the capacity of railway networks in central regions of the country and shorten travel time between major cities, according to a report from Chinese news outlet thepaper.cn on Wednesday.
In central regions, 57 high-speed trains with speed of 350 kilometers per hour covering 16 provinces and autonomous regions will be used for shortened railway traveling time.
The traveling time by train from Beijing to the capital cities of North China's Hebei Province, Central China's Henan Province and Hubei Province will be shortened to one hour and one minute, two hours and 11 minutes and three hours and 48 minutes respectively.
The railway network in Southwest China will be optimized, and the travel time from Beijing to Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality will be reduced to seven hours cutting off over four hours after the finish of the rail link between Henan and Chongqing.
China Railway, the national railway operator vowed to increase 36 Fuxing bullet trains, and will be initially deployed in South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Southwest China's Yunnan Province.
