The number of locally-transmitted COVID-19 cases in China's Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) continued to rise on Tuesday, according to the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Center of Macao.
A total of 13 people tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, bringing the total number of infections detected since Sunday to 49, the center said.
Of the infected people, 15 had developed symptoms while 34 others were asymptomatic. All of them have been in stable condition. No serious cases have been reported, according to the center.
The two-day mass testing has been concluded by Tuesday noon. The Macao SAR government has handed out COVID-19 rapid antigen test kits to residents for self-testing.
