Groups of mute swans played in the water, creating a picturesque harmony between humanity and nature in Zhengzhou Beilong Lake Wetland Park, Central China's Henan province.

The mute swan, a second-class protected animal, has found its home at Beilong Lake since 2019, with an increasing number of them choosing to settle in this area. The population of mute swans is anticipated to exceed 100 this year.

The local government has been promoting the development of a beautiful city characterized by the harmonious coexistence of humans and nature. Initiatives include constructing an urban ecological water system and artificial wetlands, which expand the living spaces for diverse animals.

Qi Xin in Zhengzhou contributed to this story.
