A week ahead of the 2017 Algarve Cup, the Chinese women's football team geared up for a 3-0 win over local team Nimes on Wednesday in their last warm-up in France.
Different from last week's 4-1 loss against Montpellier, the Chinese made several changes in their starting line-up, with Wang Shanshan, who scored the only goal in last game, up in front alone.
China built a comfortable 2-0 lead before the break on Wang Shuang's and Wang Shanshan's goals. Without limit on the number of player changes in friendlies, China also benched on several players for experimenting different rosters coming into the second half.
Substitute Tang Jiali's goal with 10 minutes remaining earned the visitors a three-goal victory, a boost for their preparation the Algarve Cup, which is slated from March 1 to 8.
China, bottom-ranked in the tournament two years earlier, may expect tough challenge ahead as they are placed in Group C with Australia, the Netherlands and Sweden.
