Three Chinese pupils will receive free football training in Barcelona next month, said sources from Mission Hills on Tuesday.
They stood out from a total of 318 participants in a summer camp at a football academy in Haikou, the capital city of south China's Hainan Province.
The football academy opened by Club Barcelona and Mission Hills in February this year, known as FCBEscola, is the first overseas FCB football academy directly managed by FCB.
Ten-year-old Li Shibo, as well as eight-year-old Lang Dacheng and Zhan Zhijie are said to have made a good impression on the coach from the FCBEscola headquarters and were given the nod for the training.
"I'm very excited about the coming training in Barcelona, and I hope to have more exchanges about football skills with teenagers from other countries," said Li.
The FCBEscola headquarters holds a international football match every March. It is estimated that 1,800 teenagers from 37 FCBEscola all over the world will compete in the match next year. Two football teams (U10 and U12) from the FCBEscola in Haikou will represent China for the match.
