The Golden State Warriors rallied to beat the Houston Rockets 101-92 in Game 7 of the West Conferences Finals in Houston on Monday and advanced into NBA Finals with 4-3 overall.
Once trailing by 15 points in Game 7, the Warriors used a huge third quarter to turn around the situation. Superstar Stephen Curry scored 14 points in that frame alone, finishing with 27 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds.
Kevin Durant scored a game-high 34 points on 11-of-21 shooting for the Warriors, while Klay Thompson had 19.
James Harden had 32 points for the host team while Eric Gordon added 23 points and six assists. The team, aiming to reach the NBA Finals since 1995, hit a wall in the second half, missing a playoff record 27 straight attempts from beyond the arc. They shot just 7-of-44 from 3-point range during the game.
The Warriors will take on the Cleveland Cavalierss for the fourth consecutive season in the NBA Finals, with Game 1 starting on Thursday.
