The main press center for the Asian Games officially opened its doors on Thursday, one day before the opening ceremony in Jakarta.
It will host all the event's press conferences, as well as welcome hundreds of journalists from all over Asia and assist them in covering one of the continent's biggest sporting events. Isharrudin Dede is one of the Press Relations officers for the Games and he explains how it all works.
The press conference room holds 300 people, and two meals per day are prepared in the building for the journalists. Coffee, tea and snacks will be available for 24 hours.
The center's WiFi connection has a top speed of 100mpbs, meaning the journalists can send articles and high resolution photos back to the press offices of their countries well ahead of any looming deadlines.
