Belarus plans to display its products and services in a big way at the first China International Import Expo (CIIE), said one foreign ministry official at a press conference here on Thursday.
Valery Sadokho, director of the National Marketing Center at the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told journalists that Belarusian authorities are paying great attention to its participation in the expo. A total area of 778 square meters will be covered by the Belarusian pavilions.
According to Sadokho, Belarusian products and services will be displayed in the two parts of the expo, including the Country Pavilion for Trade and Investment as well as the Enterprise and Business Fair.
In the first part of the expo, visitors will be able to learn about Belarus' capacities in trade, investment, research and technology, history and culture.
Meanwhile, more than 80 Belarusian enterprises will showcase their goods and services in six business sectors during the other portion, the official added.
Sadokho noted that Belarusian exporters are conducting market surveys to find out which products and services are of interest to Chinese consumers.
The CIIE will be held in Shanghai on Nov. 5-10. So far, more than 2,800 companies from more than 130 countries and regions have confirmed their participation in the upcoming global event.
