The Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games held an interview on October 21 for 297 candidates who passed the previous written examination.
The interviews took place on 14 sites. According to the head of the human resource department of the Beijing Winter Olympics organizing committee, the interview has four parts, covering scientific practice skills, general knowledge, professional knowledge and a language test. The interview aims to test the candidates' specialized knowledge, organizing and coordinating skills, communication skills, and comprehensive analyzing and communication ability.
"The questions are moderately difficult but flexible and specifically based on the characteristics of each game venue," a candidate applying for the planning and construction department said after stepping out of the interview. "The atmosphere inside is not high-pitched, the interviewers raised their questions with a smile on their faces and actively interacted with us," said the interviewee.
"All my knowledge amassed over the years was used in the interview, and it's a test on the progress made by myself," said another interviewee. "No matter whether I will pass or not, I will be a helping hand for the preparation of Beijing Winter Olympic Games, and I will be a volunteer during the Games," the interviewee added.
According to a source, a human resource database will be launched, from which outstanding candidates will be recruited based on their education background, working experience and vocational titles as well as the job requirement. In the meantime, the organizing committee for the Games will expedite its recruiting to hire more people.
The final hiring list will be released in the end of this month on the organizing committee's website after comprehensively considering a series of factors including candidates' test results, psychological test results, talent and work and educational experience.
