Taste of Hong Kong kicks off to present top quality cuisine

Taste of Hong Kong, a food festival, kicks off at central harbourfront on Wednesday. This food festival, held from March 16 to 19, is showcasing special dishes from 16 top restaurants in Hong Kong with a total of 150 booths.

The festival, held by International Management Group(IMG), cooperates with 10 Michelin starred restaurants on the line-up who are joined by some of Hong Kong's hottest eateries dishes.

Each restaurant in Taste of Hong Kong offers 3 delicious dishes, plus their limited edition icon dish'. Dishes are taste' sized, with prices starting at 50 HK dollars (about 6.44 U.S. dollars). Some of the dishes cost more than 300 HK dollars. Tickets of Taste of Hong Kong cost 168 HK dollars for adults.

Simon Wilson, head of IMG Culinary Asia, said that they've worked closely with chefs and industry friends over the last year to ensure that Taste of Hong Kong is the greatest restaurant festival the city has seen.

This year is bursting with top quality cuisine and creative innovation in the kitchen. Chefs have traveled far and wide to source the worlds best ingredients and people have flown in from places as far as New York and Paris so as not to miss this foodie event of the year.

"We've put together a truly special and unique experience, from chef masterclasses to champagne, wine and coffee tastings to craft beers all the way from Brooklyn,all crafted for Hong Kong's discerning dining scene. We look forward to welcoming the whole family at taste of Hong Kong, you're in for a real treat." he said.

Taste festivals is celebrated in 19 destinations including London, Paris, Toronto, Sydney and Dubai.
