China will improve its public cultural service system during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025), according to a plan recently released by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
The plan underlines improving rural public cultural services to help boost rural vitalization, calling for efforts to leverage the strengths of cultural facilities and resources in counties, townships and villages.
It highlights the necessity of advancing online public cultural services to meet the needs of the people, especially of special groups.
The public cultural service system should be enhanced with digital technology and intelligent features and integrated with other public service platforms to bring greater convenience to the people, it added.
