Marriott International, Inc. recently announced the opening of its first Renaissance Hotel in Zhejiang Province, China - the Renaissance Hangzhou Northeast Hotel. Located in the center of Yuhang district a convenient distance away from the Yuhang Economic-Technological Development Area, the hotel is set to help guests explore the region's inspiring history and culture and make memories that will last a lifetime.
"The debut of the first Renaissance Hotel in Zhejiang Province marks our rapidly growing portfolio in China, and we are thrilled to unveil the Renaissance Hangzhou Northeast Hotel in Yuhang district," said Marriott International Chief Operations Officer and Managing Director for Greater China, Henry Lee. "With picturesque landscapes, Yuhang has a very rich natural and historical heritage. Reflecting the Renaissance brand ethos of offering guests an unexpected sense of the neighborhood through the Renaissance brand's design philosophy, the hotel reinterprets elements from Zhejiang's famous Chinese opera with a stylish and contemporary twist. Silk-textured wallpaper with Chinese opera graphics and elegant chandeliers echo the graceful sweeping movement of Chinese opera singers on stage. Other design elements that reinterpret classic artworks, from Chinese opera masks to traditional birdcages, are scattered throughout the hotel for guests' viewing pleasure. All the details create a stunning union of architecture and art. A total of 172 spacious and comfortable guest rooms and suites showcase a fusion of modern comfort and timeless style. Chinese opera elements are again reflected in the guest rooms where beautiful yellow or turquoise lacquered furniture, opera headdress-inspired patterns on smoky antique mirrors and glossy black design accents throughout create a feeling of the Chinese tradition.
The classic Chinese design elements combine beautifully with state-of-the-art room amenities such as 55-inch LCD TVs, Bosch Tassimo 'Suny' capsule coffee machines, KOHLER Lithocast Lite baths, B&W speakers, and SEALY mattresses.
