Chinese President Xi Jinping and his South African counterpart Jacob Zuma have witnessed the signing of a $6.5 billion worth deals covering from infrastructure to manufacturing and agriculture. [Special Coverage]
During their talks in Pretoria, the two leaders have discussed ways to further develop the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two emerging economies.
"In our discussions today, President Xi and I both expressed our satisfaction about the progress we have made in the implementation of identify projects," Zuma said.
"We shared the view that the two sides should continue to view and promote China-South Africa relations from strategic long term perspectives, we need to maintain close high-level exchanges, strengthen the sharing of governance experience and on issues of our major concerns, and extend mutual understanding and support," Xi said.
