Washington is challenging China at the World Trade Organization over broiler chicken products. The U.S. has claimed that China failed to conduct a transparent re-investigation, as well as properly calculate the costs of production for a U.S. producer.
The dispute started when China imposed anti-dumping and anti-subsidy duties on chicken products imported from the U.S. in 2010, after the U.S. was accused of dumping subsidized chicken products in the Chinese market.
In 2014, Beijing insisted on their conclusion in a reinvestigation but lowered duties on U.S.-imported chicken.
