A glass viewing platform near Beijing has become the latest attraction for daredevil tourists. Operators of the platform say it is the world's largest and a must-try for those who love the thrill of heights.
Located just outside of Beijing, this structure hangs 400 meters above the ground and boasts the world's largest glass viewing platform. It provides stunning views of the Stone Forest Valley.
"The suspended bridge is 32.8 meters, 11 meters longer than the one in the U.S. It's now the longest in the world," said Li Shuang, manager of Shilinxia Scenic Area.
"When I first got up here, it really was quite scary because this must be a few hundred meters high, plus its a completely transparent walkway. I feel nervous and excited at the same time," tourist Yang Yang said.
The platform has been open to visitors for just over a month. But those who cannot get enough of it say they wish there were more.
"I hope China will bring in more things like this because young people are really stressed out at work. They can use this to relax. Doing this is a great challenge and makes you stronger," said tourist Shen Xiaoling.
