Twenty-six people have died after a fire broke out on a tour bus near Taoyuan Airport. Taiwan authorities say twenty-four of the victims were tourists from Chinese Mainland's northeastern province of Liaoning. The two other fatalities included the driver and the tour guide, who were both from Taiwan.
The bus had crashed into a barrier before the fire broke out. As the investigation continues, the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office in Beijing has launched emergency response measures following the fatal accident. It also said that a team will be dispatched to Taiwan to give further assistance.
