The bodies of two Chinese peacekeepers killed in violence in South Sudan have landed in China, at Xinzheng International Airport in Zhengzhou, capital of Henan province.
A memorial service had been held at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda prior to their departure. Peacekeepers Li Lei and Yang Shupeng were killed on July 10th after their armored vehicle was hit by a mortar shell during clashes between rivaling army factions.
Two other Chinese peacekeepers injured in the incident, as well as 25 Chinese nationals, are also on their way home from South Sudan.
