Can blue skies return?
That's the question many are asking, especially in China's northern regions, which just saw nine consecutive days of smog.
China's environmental ministry has vowed to take concrete steps and employ more stringent and effective measures to improve the environment. The ministry has already started evaluating 20 cities' emergency plans for dealing with heavy air pollution, in an effort to improve their abilities to respond to smog.
The battle against pollution is being stepped up inside factories as well. CGTN's reporter Nathan King went to a vast steel factory in Handan, Hebei Province and had a look at how drones are being used in the war against air pollution.
