Following President Xi Jinping's state visit to Finland, the next stop on his diplomatic tour is the U.S., where he will have his first face-to-face meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump.
The meeting will take place at Trump's Mar-a-lago resort in Florida. Some say the informal venue echoes Xi's 2013 meeting with former U.S. President Barack Obama in California.
Expectations are high for the historical meeting, amidst uncertainties over the direction of the Trump presidency.
Donald Trump looked ahead to Xi's visit, while speaking with CEOs at a White House town hall meeting. According to Trump, issues surrounding the Korean Peninsula, trade and security are expected to top the agenda.
"We're going to have a great meeting. I'm sure we're going to have a fantastic meeting. And we're going to talk about a lot of things," said Trump, adding that talks would "of course" include the DPRK.
