A launch day rehearsal of Tianzhou-1 was conducted on Tuesday at the Wenchang satellite launch center in South China's Hainan Province.
This is the final rehearsal before the launch, with all related departments participating. The launch is scheduled to take place between April 20-24.
Tianzhou-1, China's first cargo spacecraft, is bigger than any previous spacecraft made by China. With a net weight of 13 tons, it can carry a payload of up to 6.5 tons. If the launch is successful, China will have surpassed Europe and Japan in terms of cargo load ratio.
