The Ninth U.S.-China CEO and Former Senior Officials' Dialogue wrapped up in Beijing on Wednesday, with delegates agreeing that smooth bilateral relations are important to both countries.
The dialogue aims to promote bilateral trade and investment, strengthen economic cooperation and openness, and reduce restrictions or obstacles that hinder win-win opportunities.
Chen Feng, Founder and Chairman of the Board of HNA Group told the reporter that the recovery of the global economy has provided many opportunities for their group. "We have acquired many international firms and real estate in the last few years," Chen said.
The two sides are eagerly awaiting the results of discussions between China and the U.S. under a 100-day plan agreed by presidents Xi Jinping and Donald Trump to address trade disagreements between them. Delegates at the annual forum said they expected there to be positive outcomes.
Jointly hosted by the China Center for International Economic Exchanges and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the dialogue alternates between Beijing and Washington every year.
