China lodged solemn representations with South Korea for installing four more rocket launchers as part of the U.S.-backed Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system in Seongju, said the Foreign Ministry on Thursday.
Geng Shuang, the spokesman for Chinese Foreign Ministry made the comment at a regular press briefing.
Four more rocket launchers for the THAAD system were deployed on Thursday morning in Seongju, amid local protests, signaling that the deployment of the controversial defense system was complete, roughly 14 months after the deal was made between Seoul and Washington.
