(ECNS) -- The International Army Games 2018 kicked off in Korla, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on July 29.
Military units from 10 countries, including China, Russia, Iran and Pakistan, are participating in the war game, which will last till Aug. 8.
The game is being held simultaneously in seven countries, with three contests in Korla: the Suvorov Attack - Race and shooting competition by infantry fighting vehicles, Clear Sky - Test for air defense units, and Safe Route - Minefield crossing for sappers.
"Watching a live military event is totally different from watching it on TV. The sounds of explosions and firing are really shocking. I hope the Chinese team will achieve good results," said Wu Tingting, a spectator.
