(ECNS) — Shadow puppetry in Wushan County, Chongqing Municipality, has a history of more than 1,000 years.
It dates back to the Pre-Qin period (21 century BC - 221 BC) and showcases local folk customs, music and drama.
Puppeteers manipulate the figures using rods to create moving images on a translucent cloth screen, accompanied by music and singing.
