(ECNS) - A load of special stainless steel only a quarter of an A4 paper in thickness has been developed by a company in Northwest China's Shanxi Province and sent to Germany on Aug. 9.
This special stainless steel looks like a piece of Aluminium foil paper, but measures only 0.02 mm in thickness and 600 mm in width.
Although easily torn by hand, it is extremely hard.
It will mainly be used in the aerospace, petrochemical, automobile, electronics, household appliance, and computer industries.
Packaging of cell phone batteries usually uses this material, which can reduce the risk of explosion.
